
ORCHESTRAL CONDUCTING MASTERCLASS

Masterclass: Orchestral Conducting and Fundamental Principles of Classical-era Interpretation (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)
The Masterclass is aimed at both active and prospective conducting students.
The lessons include the study of baton technique, rehearsals with a chamber ensemble, score analysis, and the study of historical sources of the classical era (J. Quantz, L. Mozart, C. F. Bach etc.).
Repertoire: J. Haydn: Symphonies no 44, 104
W. A. Mozart: Symphonies no 29, 40, Don Giovanni Overture
L. v. Beethoven: Symphonies no 1, 5, Egmont Overture
1. Participants must have prepared at least 2 works from the above repertoire, which they will be able to conduct in an arrangement for small string orchestra and piano. The choice of works must be indicated in the application form.
2. Participants will have the opportunity to conduct the Violoncello Orchestra and, after selection, in the final concert on 30.7, in a repertoire to be announced at the end of June.
